Peace Treaty

I know that I should post a screenshot or a savegame, but i dont have any screenshots, and i dont think it would help to post a savegame, because I'm not sure it will happen again in the game.

I played as the english in the Napoleon conquest. I was at war with Prussia, but suddenly the foreign advisor said: "The portugese/napolitans/dutch have signed a peace treaty with Prussia." I checked, and now i was'nt at war with them either.
This gave me a bad reputation, because I had a MA with Russia against Prussia, and now no one wants to sign MAs with me.

that would have to be because you all are in a locked alliance, in that case, when one signs a peace treaty, all the others in the alliance also automatically do

I have same prob playing that scenerio with locked alliance. Does that mean you should'nt make MA with anyone since the dutch freely negotiates, without consultation and causes bad rep? If so the penatly should rest with the danes not france.
