1) How do you consider your political views? Liberal? Conservative?
In US terms very liberal I guess, although i'm probably mainstream centre left in Europe
2) Are you a registered voter?
Yes. It's compulsory but I do vote
3) If so, which party? If not, why not?
We don't register by party here. But it would be Labour party
4) What member of your party do you respect the most? the least?
Most, Ken Livingstone mayor of London. Least: Peter Mandleson, a close ally of Tony Blair, who keeps getting back into the inner circle despite being implicated in several financial and political scandals.
5) If you had to vote for a member of the opposite party, who would it be?
Julie Kirkbride, a Conservative MP. Also Elizabeth Truss, a friend who I knew at college, who's runing as a Conservative MP next time.
6) If you were running for President for your party, who would you select as your VP?
This is really not applicable in the British context
7) If you were to start a country, what type of economic system would you use? Why?
Mixed, and Keynesian. Mixed because a purely state run system can get stifled in bureacracy, and a purely free market system does not maximise human happiness and well being, by for example, neglecting the fact that someone being happy their work can add to their well being. Keynesian, because I believe in deficit spending. I posted details of why in the Little Raven's friday lunch thread.
8) Who is your least favorite Supreme court Justice, who is your favorite?
Was Scalia the one who accepted the VPs hospitality before deciding on a case involving him? That kind of arrogant corruption really annoys me far more than what someone's political views are. So him. Favourite: not sure.

14) John Ashcroft losing to a dead guy (heh)
