The interface certainly has it's challenges. I use "ctrl + x" (move all units in stack for currently active unit) to move my SODs around, it helps quite a bit.

I wish there were more worker commands available, like "patrol for pollution". I don't automate workers, but towards the end of the game when most tiles are improved and I have idle workers (if I don't join them back into cities), I would like to be able to designate a handful to only clean new pollution as it appears on the map.
 
Starting a new game. There's nothing like the feeling when the opening dialog completes and I'm looking at my starting setup. So many possibilities and unknowns to explore, exploit and conquer.
 
Having the ai impale large numbers of troops on my stack of armies. Especially in island invasions.

Conquering Pyramids very early in the game.

And yes, that first leader is pretty awesome!
