Governor CivGeneral,

War has begun against Babylon, and we are at a disadvantage at this point in time. To remedy this, i ask that you prepare massive military buildup for our armed forces to survive and ultimately prevail in the upcoming struggle.

Minister of Defense

Governor CivGeneral,

Just a reminder that Bootsville is the newest member city of Berry Province. Please include this city in you instructions.

Thank you,

zorven
President

Governor CivGeneral,

may I suggest to you not building swords or spears but horsemen. Soon there will be those nasty creatures called pikemen, defense 3, 4 if fortified. And our poor swordsmen will die. Swords are powerful in the Ancient Age, but a dead-end unit. No upgrade in plain Civ. (Only in C3C they can advance.)

Horsemen on the other hand are fast in reaching the enemy, can retreat if red-lined, and can be promoted to strong knights and earth-shattering cavalry.

Build horsemen! Please!!

Governor,

The people of Huntington want to build a barracks. Then after the barracks, we would like to build a horseman...After that build one ore horseman .Plus once we get too a size that we can't grow anymore...we suggest to build an aqeuduct...

Thank you!

From,
Huntington Citizens

My Lord Governor,

The Ministry of Internal Affairs wishes to remind you that we are now celebrating the birth of our Republic after thousands of years of despots ruling the land. We are now free of the iron hand of tyranny!

This change has many positive benefits for us - your lands are now more productive. Your cities will grow faster with more food. Your centers of learning will burst with new funding, and knowledge.

There are some concerns though. Primarily, with freedom comes the voice of protest. Please remember to review all cities in the current save for their status. The labour allocation within all cities should be examined for efficiency and effectiveness. In addition, our cities will be growing faster, much faster in some cases. Should a city grow in a turn chat, please include instructions on how to deal with it, including if the new citizen is unhappy and would trigger a revolt.

Finally, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is greatly concerned with our lack of culture. We are at peace, at the start of a new Republic and poised for growth. Please consider requesting funds from the Senate to rush cultural projects such as Libraries for those cities that could benefit.

As always, the MIA is ready to assist in any means necessary.

-- Ravensfire, Minister of Internal Affairs

Technical Report from the Govenor (RL issue report)

Recently I had to reinstall Windows XP to correct a problem (Which can be found in the Computers section of the forums). I have corrected the problem and will get back to work ASAP.

Hopefully my laptop will co-operate in the future. As for the instructions, I have placed my appology in the March 17th TC.

Sorry to hear that CG - I know how long it takes to get everything back again - I had to do it myself late last year!

You might want to have a look at Deux Rivieres - it's grown quickly but to keep it happy has 2 specialists! - you might want to consider changing production to a Settler to drop the population a bit. If you MM for production this could be done very quickly.

Im not a fan of hireing clowns to keep a city happy. Though its time to have it pop out a settler to releave the pressure of the happyness.

Alternatively, DR still doesn't have any improvement that will affect happiness - no temple, no colosseum.

While a settler is a Good Thing (tm), including some improvements in the build queue will have a greater long-term impact. DR is one of our major production sites. Although it can quickly (8 extra food!) recover from population loss, it can also be configured for high shield production.

I can indeed be a high shield producer - with only 10% on the lux slider to get one of those entertainers back to work it can produce a nice round 15 shield per turn! giving a Temple in 4, Colusseum in 8 or Settler in 2. As our only other Settler is not due for 7 turns and we do still have land to fill in it seems a good opportunity. Either that or hold it at 15 shields and produce, Temple, Cathedral or something (we need culture as well - either way we don't want those entertainers sitting there!

After the Settler has been built to releave the extra citizens of the population unhappyness punishment. I can add temples to improve happyness and to bost our culture.

My Lord Governor,

As a reminder from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, please make any cash requests to the Senate soon! The Cultural Attache has requested that I remind you that we are lacking in culture, and to point out that Libraries are an excellent choice that will provide culture and improve our research ability!

Thanks,
-- Ravensfire, Minister of Internal Affairs

Lord Govenor,

As a vested land owner and ranch operator in Vo Mimbre, I desire to see the city build a great aquaduct to guarantee the flow of water to our lands and people. I believe this is vital to the growth of the city and the ranch and farming operations of the area. Please consider this request when putting together you next fiscal plan.

Thank you,

zorven

Governor CG,

On behalf of the people of Huntington, we would like to build an aquaduct. It will help us grow. So after the temple we would like to produce an aquaduct. Thanks for building the libray too!! We are very smart in Huntington with that library!!

Respectfully,
Mayor Truckingpete and the People of Huntington
