UI modifications (suggestions and discussion)

well, it was all explored until that damn event AGAIN that blacks everything over again, HATE that event . . .
We at least got it down to only when that wonder is built haven't we? It's not a random event - you're letting someone else get to that wonder first.

One suggestion:

1. Please, can dead civilizations be shown in the graph? I remember this from vanilla BTS (or from the HR mod maybe). It's kinda nice to see the downfall.

Thanks for this great mod.

You can switch that in one of BUG settings tabs.

You can switch that in one of BUG settings tabs.

I can't find this option (see screenshots). Is my SVN too old, it is from January 2021?

Did you check all BUG tabs? Also clicking on "show all" could show them.
By the way you should update at least weekly, since lots of changes are done within week.

I did, I will double check again soon.
I can't update SVN because my current game started in January.

You can update.
We didn't break any saves.

I get a lot of errors if I update, for example (and ten or so other missionaries):

And also big parts of the interface is missing (did not take a screenshot).

I have updated many times before, so I think I know how it works. Will try again now and take some screenshots.

Non-fatal loading warnings are fine.

As for interface missing its because your mod is in Documents folder, or isn't named Caveman2Cosmos, or is nested.

This is the directory I use (since many years). I noticed that I am somehow missing the 'UserSettings' folder in the new SVN, copying this folder from the Caveman2Cosmos20210217 folder makes the update work. I also see now that my try on 27 July had the same missing UserSettings folder.

I started to use SmartSVN on MacOS to update SVN, maybe I should revert back to using the svn command in a terminal...at least that always worked.

Also, the update is really harsh on health and food (left is before update, right is same turn after update):

1. could it be possible that somewhere it displays total income/expense on particular buildings? would be for example helpful with controlling crime/disease and deciding if it's beneficial to deal with them at particular time in game.
2. maybe possibility of adjusting expenses for crime and disease fighting same as science/culture/espionage? possibly more efficient for memory usage than constructing law enforce and medical units and stacking them in cities (which cost maintenance, so that having it as expense instead would be more direct way to deal with these issues)
3. alternatively maybe allow merging of health care and law enforce units, so that 3 medicine men could become one merged with tripled upkeep cost and triple -crime/disease property in city and plot?

Wanted to be able to but not technologically possible with the way the property manipulators were originally setup so far as I can see. There are then other issues to contend with like splitting for the sake of getting cheaper vision specialists as well.

Property management sliders? hmm POSSIBLY maybe COULD be done in the long run. Somehow.

hey:) I remember that in the past modifiers in civic screen were displayed in one line, could it be possible to make it back like on one of my old screens? "democracy" screen is now (separated into multiple lines), "matriarchy" screen is old

Seems to be that someone fiddled with the old way and never bothered to check how it looks. :p

Many changes coming thru from the Discord group who seem to have much say in the mods mechanics anymore. This place is really a shell of its former self since Discord was implemented. I don't do Discord. Don't have time for it.

And here is me, still processing that web forums took over from Usenet :)

(Also evil because a proprietary centralized communication system.)
But a chat *is* a great way to get *immediate* feedback on an issue.
Where's the time when everyone was on IRC...

Both usenet and irc were open to all systems and all applications.

Oh no, I'm off topic again... 22 days without playing C2C, but my new computer arrives today, yeah!
