I was astonished when see than unarmed colonists have the same strength as soldiers (but have no free promotions and can only defend). So iI made pretty nice 'strategy' for war - use many unarmed colonists.
And guess? If you have 10 fortified colonists in your colony you can see that they have str 3 + fortification bonus, all nice.... Except attackers must defeat only one of then to capture colony.
I didn't see anything about it in colonizopedia.
I see no reason at all to show colonists strength on the map. It's just confusing.
I now see no reason in 'Right to bear arms' choice.

In Col1 it was intuitive that unarmed colonists are not an army becouse thay had str=0. But now it's not clear at all.
