Certainly less than 10%, but he might pick up some bonus points simply because he's not interventionist (and the country is somewhat sick of foreign intervention right now) but also not for an expanded welfare state... so really, he's basically a vote against mandatory national health insurance and bombing Iran at the same time.

I think The Republican Party was what was meant...

Ron Paul is popular among both conservatives, liberals, and libertarians. He has broad support among libertarians and members of the Constitution Party, as well. It may be possible that if Ron Paul would run as an Independent, forming the "Ron Paul for America Party", he might get be able to unite Libertarians, Constitution Party members, and millions of disaffected Republicans and Democrats. He still probably wouldn't win, but he might be able to get a decent enough percentage of the popular vote and get the party to be treated fairly in the next election instead of being snuffed out by the big two.

The beginning of this reads almost like a campaign ad :p.

I can't really make a prediction as specific as that in the poll, but I don't think Ron Paul would get a significant portion of the popular vote.

He's popular among internet libertarians, who constitute about 60% of internet discussion boards and about .03% of the general population.

Now that made me laugh! :)

So true, too. Though if he continues to get so much attention and then ran as an independent (I think running as a Libertarian would hurt him) then I can see 5-10%, assuming no faux paus between now and then.

1) The constitution party struggles to get enough sigs to make the ballot in some states. The libertarian party is the only party that is big enough to not have to struggle to make ballots..and we know how Ron Paul did when he was the libertarian canidate.

2) Any "disaffected" democrat who supports Ron Paul is a bloody idiot. The central democrat truth is that goverment has a helpful role to play in society. Ron Paul's only reason for exsistance is to fight that statement.

Ron Paul wants to bring us all back to the early 20th century in terms of economics. If he does get elected you will see immidiate concentration of wealth into a few hands, even more than it is currently. The sad part is that the people who support him now are the ones whos grandfathers were striking against the exact thing Dr. Paul wants to set up!

But I highly doubt he will win.

I'd say around 2 or 3 percent. Which is fairly impressive given that he won't have tons of money and there would still be many, many voters strategically voting in certain areas.

the white nationalist/national socialist movement doesn't want to kill people we just want to preserve our culture and race.

By forcibly excluding anyone who isn't of your self-defined culture and race. Driving people from your hometown, your place of work, your social events, your state, your country. What if they say no? What if someone doesn't want to leave their home just because their neighbours disapprove of their ancestry? Either you let them stay, or you force them out. Either you accept - or at least tolerate - others, or sooner or later you fight them.

Better to treat the people you meet as individuals than to attack them based on characteristics. I'm sure you've heard this all before, though. Do you honestly think that racial and cultural "purity" can be obtained without violence, though?

Well, I don't exactly agree with all his economics, but I admit he's very dedicated to rationality and understands elementary morals and geopolitics. At least his not one of those shotgun-Republicans who keep spouting about meaningless "family values".

I'd like Ron Paul if he weren't such a damned xenophobe and anti-immigrationist.

Since when is Ron Paul a xenophobe?

Harsh enough anti-immigration positions like RP's can easily lead into xenophobia. Besides, the white nationalist movement adores him precisely because of it.
