I'm already a Reverend, and have been using it on documents.
Personally, I'm kind of partial to Lord. There are other prefixes that denote a higher position and mean more in modern society, but I just like the sound of Lord Sharwood. I've also always had a soft spot for Colonel.
Nothing too fancy. How about Squire (denotes prosperous landowner with a few tenant farmers, own pub, collects taxes, opens village fairs, able to raise a company of militia, local magistrate, member of parliament,
pick of local virgins etc.).
Or to put it another way: in the event of a nuclear war affecting the UK, how many people must survive to keep the nation from becoming an object of global ridicule?
