I hate the fact that if you don't watch your colonies carefully, suddenly your farmers will abandon their farms and go hang out in the church, or go roll tobacco, or do pretty much anything other than what you want them to do.

Is there any way to lock them into their jobs? This is really making me hate this game!

Hit the lock button in the colony screen. That will disable automation for everyone inside that colony.

Hi Paragonae,

I must be missing something. In the colony screen, I click on the button labelled "Turn off citizen automation" (located just above the ore icon). All of the units now have locks appearing next to them.

I leave the city, come back the next turn, and they are all scrambled again, and some are now missing the locks. Am I seeing a bug, or am I just dense?
