Most modern religions (not denominations, religions in the broader sense) were around 300 years ago, why not 300 years from now. The only threat to them is a new faith becoming wildly popular then going theocratic, or rampant secularism.
i would guesss that those building icons are just placeholders for other things
they probabaly do similar tasks, but they havent gotten a new icon for them yet
