  • A question. How did you make real population a thing in your mod? The way you make every tile have people in it? I'm interested in replicating the feature in my own mod (with permission).
    Gedemon -- you are my favorite 4x modder of all time. I am curious to know what the future holds for the mod(s) you created for Humankind -- True Culture Location and its accompanying Giant Earth Map. I noticed that you posted a while back that you are done updating these mods and are working on some kind of new overhaul mod for HK. I am wondering ... is this still the case?
    Hello Gedemon, I've returned to modding Basic Modern Civilizations a few months ago. I've redone a few scripts, added some new ones, and now I'm learning how to use the ModBuddy asset editor. Icons for new civs have been added, which is awesome, but there's two things I need to learn before I can fully mod the rest of the mod by myself.

    So for starters: I'm finishing up Papua New Guinea first, which was an unfinished nation in the original edition of the mod. Switzerland will come afterwards, because I saw TSL registered for that country in the files of the mod.

    What's next left to do is with LeaderFallbacks and UILeaders XLP/BLP files. I've seen a tutorial on these with this link (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2420858843), but Basic Modern Civilizations is a bit different, so I might need a refresher on how you did it - there's no XLP file for BMC that I can rely on.

    I don't really need you to edit the mod directly, but rather give me some feedback on how I can make these XLP files work. Just check out the GitHub to see how it's looking at the moment.
    Hi, I’ve had a question about the true culture location mod for humankind. It hasn’t been updated for the last few updates. Do you have any plans on updating it here, or is it discontinued for now?
    Hi, I've a question that maybe you could help with. I've converted a civ5 map to civ6 using YNAMP. Sadly, the city-states by Gedemo can't spawn despite my inclusion of their TSL.
    In the 'Lua' log file I find this:
    Map Script: Pairing Civilization Type with PlayerIDs...
    Map Script: WARNING for playerID #6 : CivilizationTypeName is NIL

    If you’re familiar with this error please let me know if it's not too much trouble!

    that would be unrelated, errors would be shown in the database and modding logs IIRC.
    Hello. I wanted to ask a question, why can't red ww2 39v load a saved game in the menu? Thanks in advance, since version 39 of the mod has an interesting scenario that is only available in it

    I know there is a "reloaded" version of the mod on steam, maybe look for it ?

    Im a huge fan of your R.E.D modpack and i would like to know where i can find the blender files of the new units (i would like to change a model but i dont know where the files are located)

    Thank you for the quick reply! So the model itself is within the gr2 files?
    danrell released his crusader unit-pack with additional .blend files so thats something different? (sorry for asking stupid questions but im really new to modding and i was hoping if i could make some minor changes)
    So is there a chance to access the meshes through gr2 files? Again thank you for your support i really appreciate it!

    Just wondering if its possible to play Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack on Lan somehow because there are some multiplayer options in the set up.

    R.E.D. Mod's turns last 10 days each. Here's what the NewRules.sql says about it "INSERT INTO GameSpeed_Turns (GameSpeedType, MonthIncrement,TurnsPerIncrement) VALUES ('GAMESPEED_STANDARD', '1', '360');
    UPDATE GameSpeeds SET DealDuration = 100". We would like to make it so turns last 15 days. Is there a way to achieve this?

    I've stopped modding civ5 a long time ago, and from your previous question IDK if you're using my old version or the "reloaded", but for calendars I remember that the data is at the start of each scenario lua scripts as the game can't handle thoses directly
    Hey Gedemon, my friend and I are huge fans of R.E.D. Mod! Has brought us countless hours of fun.

    We'd like to remove Italy's trait of receiving the "Desert Fox" promotion on all units, but can find no mention of it in NewRules.xml, which only mentions the Marenostrum trait.

    Also didn't find anything in the Newunits.xml.

    Do you know where we should we look to remove this "Desert Fox" trait for Italy? Thanks.
    Hey man, we have started a community on playing your YnAMP for Civilization 5, but are trying to see how to play the Huge Earth Map with around 43 players and True Start Location. How can we play your map in multiplayer?

    You can't use WorldBuilders maps in MP with civ5 AFAIK, you'll have to convert it to a mapscript. I can't help with that as I've stopped modding civ5 years ago (because of the MP modding limitations)

    Hi, I'm having difficulties with your mod. All icons and buttons disappear when I enter diplomacy screen. Assets mod says it's not compatible with my civ version. Help? Really like the idea of your mod and really want to try it out. Thanks.

    I've stopped modding civ6 because I need the DLL source to finish that project but Firaxis has no plan to release it like they did for civ4 and 5, sorry

    Hi Gedemon, I came across your repo Civ5-DLL researching. Is it possible to access the code that initiates a resync in a multiplayer directly? e.g.: can when everyone ends their turn and the loading screen pops up.

    I'm unsure if this is accessible in the given DLLs.

    I did a lot of digging and the closest I could get were the methods ReseatConnectedPlayers and ReseatConnectedPlayer.

    just asked in the subforum, I think it will have full modding capabilities for data and scripting, but IDK about assets (units, buildings) to expand the scope of the game.
