You're right that some civs have a more tenuous connection to the leaders than others, and I do admit I count "close enough" civs as being a leader's civ. The Han are "close enough" IMO to be Confucius's civ, since he had such a great influence on that civilization even though he lived before...
While the format of the game does mean that there will necessarily be civs without leaders, my own preference is that every leader should have their civ. This version of Civ is much more leader focused than previous iterations, and leaders just feel incomplete to me if they can't lead their...
FYI, the modern civs do have unique victory screens, but you only see them if you win a score victory. So it is highly unlikely that you will see them if you are playing on a high difficulty level or with long ages, where someone will win before time runs out.
In my experience it is not the naval combat itself that is bugged, but the tool tip telling you all the different factors going into the relative strength of the combatants is what is bugged. The enemy unit is usually missing many of its bonuses from the overview, so the UI lies to you about...
I've seen this on age transition and game exit, but never on start-up. Hopefully they fix this on the next patch, but so far it just seems like an annoyance, I haven't noticed it breaking anything.
As I recall, Rise of Rome was the toughest Warlords scenario, so if you've got that beat you should be good to go for facing the others. As for a Pitboss game, I'm not really interested in that at the moment (right now my Civ time is all going into 7), but if things change I'll send you a DM.
In my last game the Mexican Revolucionario that provides an Army Commander with instant healing (I forget the name of the great person) bugged out my commander such that any unit that entered his radius was instantly healed, but any that left was instantly injured to near death (-99% HP). This...
It doesn't seem like a player should be allowed to put a district in an inaccessible spot like that. However, assuming those are cliffs separating you from the district, I think there actually is a way to get there, but it would potentially involve a lot of grind. The last Army Commander...
Yes. In my game before last, I was dawdling after having conquered the requisite cities because I wanted to play more before the end and I accidentally let time run out before completing Operation Ivy, but I still won because I had acquired the most legacy points.
There was also an official pirates scenario for Civ 6, which was fun and I wouldn't mind a repeat of. Although a single player option would be nice, I liked the concept of multiplayer scenarios in 6 but was not a fan of them being exclusively multiplayer. Sometimes it's fun to play against...
Will be interesting to see how they implement Bulgaria, whether in its pre or post Ottoman form. I'm guessing it will be the pre-Ottoman medieval empires, but part of me wants to play the "Balkan Prussia" while ruling as Frederick.
I disagree, I would like to see Gandhi return, since he's such a classic civ leader. I would like to see a serious implementation rather than a meme one, but it also would be fun to have an easter egg that references the nuke bug, perhaps as a Memento.
I plan to remake my modern Earth scenario for Civ 7, but since it seems the base game might end before the present I might wait until they expand the game to begin work on that. In the meantime I'll probably make a scenario that fits within the game's current time frame to familiarize myself...
Having played every game in the series since Civ II, Civ IV was and remains my favorite. It doesn't do everything right, and every Civ game has some aspect that I like more, but so many of its mechanics are exactly what I want in a 4X game that it is the gold standard by which I measure all...
Given past iterations, it is highly likely that if they make an expansion with a fourth age that they will set it in the present day and near-future, with some sci-fi elements thrown in. I'd be willing to bet that the Giant Death Robot will make a return. The last three games have had a Giant...
