Got it, thanks. So if my version is x.x.x.7 how do I cause the patch to be downloaded/installed?

So how does one find out which version of the program is installed (i.e. which patches, etc)? I've looked around the game screens and in Steam, but I can't seem to find anything. I've heard there's a patch out but don't know how to tell if I have it or not.

When I get focus on a Worker because he "needs orders", I often pop into the nearest city screen to see what tiles are being worked that need improving. Actually, I figured out my problem. I had a two different sets of disks, and I had used disk 1 from one set, and disk 2 from a different set. I only noticed it because the Firaxis logo was slightly different between the two. Once I rummaged out the matching set of disks, everything installed...
