    actually I posted this already on civforum.de but this here seems mor up to date; I just ran this editor via wine on linux (archlinux) "winetricks vcrun2005sp1" where needed for the vc redist aside of that and a bitter performance (oos driver since amd discontinued linux-dev for my card)...

    I ment the game, upload is really slow, can't think of a use case to limit it that much for savegame transfers (especially if you can choose "broadband" in the settings) is there any "original as in unmodded" civ/patch development going on, it might be worth to ask there ?

    well, we overcame the round 69 oos with save and load, BUT after playing till ~ 230 and saving, we tried to continue today, but it OOSed within 5 rounds from load, no save/load magic we're using a openVPN connection which proofed to be ultra-stable over the years :)
