Issue:
Only background music and "ambient" noise are audible; all other noises are too soft to hear without cranking up the volume to max.

Alright, it's not a one-time thing; it seems to be permanent. I've tried reinstalling Civ IV, but no dice - the sound problems seem to be stemming from something outside of the core game files. Oddly, I don't have this problem in any other game...
I've been having some intermittent audio troubles with Civ IV - the sounds are all too soft to hear, with the exception of the music which stays at its regular volume - albeit fuzzier, as though it had been downsampled.

Any way to fix that? I'm tired of not being able to raze the cities I conquer.
(Cities I conquer because they're blocking my perfect city placement scheme... heh.)
Incidentally, if you want a replacement image for the Canada Corps thumbnail, I have a few gleaned from war posters that might do better after some resizing.

What? Battleford's not in there? Heck, the only reason Regina is Saskatchewan's capital is because the CN owner and his cronies wanted the railroad to run along land they owned so they could make more money - that's why Regina is the only provincial capital not along a major waterway.
