What I don't understand though is the american tendency to use "Vanilla" as plain with nothing added. Actually Vanilla is a spice, and once you add Vanilla it's no longer basic or plain! Are Americans oblivious to the taste of vanilla, or oblivious to the taste of no artificial additives? ;)

No, just no.. Horned helmets was the trademark of the celtic people. Vikings never used them. The confusion all relates back to some lazy costumers in the 17th century who didn't bother to design new helmets for their Viking play, after they just designed a bunch for a celtic play.

More to the point GalCiv2 was the second game lately that had problems on my computer (DirectX 9c seems to have issues) Civ4 almost works now with 1.52 which came out two months after the game. GalCiv2 worked mostly with 1.0D which came a few days after release, and is now more stable than Civ4...
