Given Civ IVs is game of conquest, it is sometimes fun to put it in perspective.

Therefore given the choice, which of the above leaders who all have ordered the killing of thousands or millions of civilians do you think would be fun to play or fun to beat..

This is a not a poll on what you think should be included in official Civ IV, but more what could be fun to mod.

OMG why even bother? How hard would it be to just find the XML file and erase "Bismark" and put in "Hitler" for the guys name? Half the idiots who play this game wouldn't recognize Bismark to begin with, and probably wouldn't even blink at Hitler in a pointy hat. "Hitler and his Holocaust" aren't the biggest or baddest genoicde in history, they just have the best press agent.

The holocaust may not have been the biggest genocide in terms of the total number of victims, but one needs to consider it in the context of the National Socialist ideology. The idea that some peoples should be exterminated as 'racial hygiene' is a little more disturbing than most, don't you think?

Khan and Hitler. As explosive expansionists, they are inherently interesting to me. Hirohito should also qualify, but for some reason he just doesn't do it for me. Zedong and Stalin weren't really all that explosive, doing most of their 'best' work within their own realms. Truman? Yawn. Bin Laden? He doesn't lead any state, does he?

To put the others in perspective.

He did okay terror-bombings, not just the atom-bombings, but the terror-bombings of Tokyo and Dresden as well. In other words he is the top responsible for about half a million civilian casualties. No doubt if the war had turned out different they would have been clasified war-attrocities.
Personally I don't want to see him in the game though, he is not evil enough

Too bad I couldn't come up with more names when I made the list. I would have loved Franco and Saddam on the list.

You don't have the facts straight. It was the British who bombed Dresden, killing about 30 000. Together with Lenin, your friend Stalin killed about 50 million (in peacetime). The fire bombings of Tokyo killed about twice as many as those in Dresden. Still, the number of Japanese killed by the two nuclear bombs was smaller than the number of Chinese civilians killed by Japanese biological and chemical weapons, which were used quite extensively in that theatre. You may still consider Truman evil - it is up to you - but do your home work.
