i am playing now a barbarian scenario (noble, easy, 40 turns to start the game).
I have done pretty well I believe but I have not yet won. I have 2 more civs that seam to have much more power.
I am using my generals to create uber-units. I have 2 uber-swordsman with full-city attack, medic...
Hi,
After several random games, I palyed the Greek Mod as Romans at Prince level.
I managed to have the most points about 50 turns before the end of teh game, however I would prefer to conquer everybody.
Is it possible? I have difficulties having a large naval fleet, thsu I could not...
I have reloaded some times in the following situations:
1. testing if I could take a city without waiting my cats to bombard
2. Accidentally moved my group outside the forest/jungle ny right clicking in a plains square thus the Ai will slaughter me afterwards or accidentally attacking by...
Married 2 children (6, 4):
Time is full until 23:00 (wake-up, go to job, job, back to home, play with kids, eat, put kids to sleep, spend some time with wife)
So Playing CIV4 == 4 hours of sleep at most!
Not Playing CIV4 == 7-8 hours of sleep!
If I build the Pyramids, I switch to Police State just before rushing an opponent. I produce 1-2 more axemen, which are perfect for my rush.
In the late game I never, because I use the culture slider for preventing war weariness and I have most the times plenty resources.
i believe one of the powers of the game (in order to become addicted) is the different map types. I have played:
1. archipelago = perfect for peace-loving periods
2. continents = when bored by diplomacy
3. pangaea = war is my name
4. terra (playing now)
5. inland sea = perfect for bordering fast...
Every game I choose a different leader.
I am now at Cyrus.
I play in lexicographical order!
I play mostly at Prince level. However, my easiest win at this moment was made with catherine (cultural - with 50+ cossacs for defence)
I never wait until iron working. I use my axemen and 1-2 archers per stack to strike. AI tends to have in the border cities 2-3 archers with city defender + 1 spearman or axeman.
So it's rather easy to conquer him starting with 6 axemen+1-2 archers.
Of cousre u should keep creating axemen to...
Prince, Epic, Pangaea, Catherine, Large, random civs, random map settings
I won using the following strategy:
1. I conquered with an early war the closest aggresive civ near me (Tog)
2. I conquered with a medieval war the civ following my lead in score and the others civs hate the most...
I have only used spies to spy the other nations :scan: (tech, building and etc.)
However, I believe I should use the destroy resources ability.
If my spy fails to destroy a resource, does produce negative effect to the relationship with that civ?
