To all who do not know why CIV6 is great

Well as others said, the experience is subjective. I enjoy Civ 6 a lot more than I enjoyed vanilla Civ 5 or Civ 4, and I do compare it to the previous vanilla versions. To me it makes the most sense.

The New Movement Rules Cripple 2-Move Melee Units

I think archers (and ranged units in general) shourld be quite substantially nerfed. Archers should not be able to completely kill off spearmen or swordsmen. They should act as support units that can weaken melee units, but other melee units should be required to finish them off. And in the case...

    This game is crazy good!

I think it's obvious that they'll release several patches that are rich in features. It looks like a lot of stuff were cut to make the release date, and they probably have a long backlog of items they're currently working on. There are lots of TODOs in the lua-files, and we see this in the...

    This game is crazy good!

I agree. What I like the most (and also surprised me) is how smooth it runs. It just feels "snappy" and fast, with less waiting for turns. Yes, there are some glaring UI shortcomings and the AI often acts unreasonable. Still, this, IMO, is the most complete and stable release of Civ that I can...

    Fog of War thoughts

I was excited about it at first, but I feared it would get old eventually. After watching a bunch of let's plays I'm already missing the old fog of war. I think it looks a bit messy, and it doesn't make any sense in the modern era.

    Continent Flavors

I do agree a bit on the mountains. They should be varied according to biome, not "continent" per se. However I really liked how for example the African continent type color theme actually felt a bit like Africa with a sort of reddish hue to grasslands and plains and desert hills being large sand...

    Continent Flavors

I find it weird that people haven't noticed this. For me this was a great feature of Civ 5 and I will miss the variety in Civ 6.

Really? This has just gotten sad...

I get this deja-vu from when the Civ IV graphics were revealed. Same uproar about "cartoony" graphics.. Then when the Civ V pre release screenshots came out people complained that the graphics were bland and dull. We need some real scientific polling to find out what the majority actually wants.

Civ Vets, what do you think?

I've played Civ regularly since the first one and I have confidence that VI will be the best one yet.

    The XCOM sqaud?

I like that there's an endgame unit that can be really game changing. It's "The Internet" and "Globalization" for players going for conquest victory.

    Why do you drink alcohol?

I drink with company because a little alcohol generally make people more social and upbeat. Especially people who are a bit socially awkward. I drink alone because I love the taste of a good single malt when winding down after a long day.

    New DLCs incoming (Gamespot article)

I don't get why people complain about the price. Especially after such a huge free patch that they've obviously worked a lot on. Consider the DLC an optional tip to Firaxis for exellent support of Civ 5 :hatsoff:

9 Most Wanted Civs Post BNW

I want more ancient/classical civilizations. Sumerians, Hittites and an Indus valley civilization. Also, I'd like more aggressive civs like the Zulu, it's always fun to play with them. Maybe Tamerlane. In addition I'd like all references to Norway removed from Denmark. :p

    Hate AI Great Prophets

I really think that Civ should have a "casus belli" feature, where you can declare war if an AI breaks a promise. Without any diplo hit.

    Nitpicky Things You'd Like Fixed

    1. Farms to follow rivers like they do coasts. 2. Road intersections that look somewhat usable :p
