Does this happen to anyone else? I have harbors in 3 cities including my capitol. Route is not blocked yet I have no trade icon. My economic tab doesnt show any routes.
Well its not really "get two every game" If you're getting a 100 turn GA thats getting five 20 turn GA's. I think you should look less at how many GA's you're getting and more at how many turns of GA you get over the course of the game.
Sure you can chain and get super long GA's, but you can...

It doesnt matter if OP needed to restart, another player might get lucky on their first map and could use the strat here and win. See how its viable?

Im lukewarm about the gameplay, but im outraged at the loading and turn times. Poor coding is obviously to blame. I dont know how people can still defend this game. See threads:

UPDATE: The save games are indeed the problem, so for those of you who pointed it out, thank you. There must be some sort of memory leak with loading save games because like another poster said, they become bloated and unnecessarily large. Also if you load too many in one session without exiting...

Anyway Im runnning a 1TB 7200rpm hd as my data drive and a 80gb intel ssd as my OS drive. Ive ran the ssd optimizer and my data drive is recently defragmented.
I am running DX10/11, i should try running in 9, i bet thats the slowdown...

Not the best, but by no means outdated. This is a standard map! Why is this so damn slow to load and in between turns? Is it just me?
