    kenneth and slowcar , A LOT of the decision to rush or tech has to do with what civ your playing , what leader your playing , and of course your initial starting location. 2 very very skewed exmples .... playing as the sheaim with alot of floodplains around your going to want to tech quickly...

    given the chain of nerfs the sheaim have had recently i think all of these are great ideas. personally i think os-gaballa got hit a bit to hard with the double hit of industrious and the distruction of the "pit beast" please rename the "pit beast" to the "pit puppy"....

    skip the religion religion , they really don't need one. iirc you can get a spell that adds +1 happy pretty early to make up for the lack of temples. as for other options , you should be heading right for mages and just using massive mage armies to tear everyone else down

    whats said above is solid. as for mid and late game you really need to be looking at the OO religion. most civs have to go OO in order to compete with you in the water. them going OO just makes it easier for you to get a religious victory. not to mention the water walking undead and the kraken...
