cMM2 - STRANDED (easy level, tough map)

Sabo, Carlos just played, it's all yours. Make sure to read the last few pages of posts so you understand the difficulty of the situation. Please post your thoughts before you start so everyone has a chance to yell "nooooooooooo" ;)

    AK5, Rule of the idiots

Hi guys, sorry to disappear on you. I was out of keyboard range for the holidays. I'll wait for my regular spot in the roster, right after the saber-waving Admiral. He's most likely to start a war and make my set of turns are as interesting as possible :)

If we capture a wonder, can we keep it? Captured wonders don't count toward culture, right?

1.740. We need the FP badly. Switch to FP in Cologne. Shuffle some troops so they can be upgraded in barrack towns. Kill 2 spears in Tzintzuntzen. 2.750. Kill spear, arch, arch in Tzintzuntzen and raze it so I never have to type this name again. 3.760. Inca are building the Sistine Chapel...

Sounds like good advice to me! I've got it. Will fight on in the true idiot spirit.

Not bad at all. Should have revolted to Feudalism on turn 3 and sold the silly library I built in the South, however. Them's the rules...

cMM2 - STRANDED (easy level, tough map)

You're right on the WW, *if* they go to war again. But right now their treasury is being directed away from happiness and toward production and research. I don't agree on the Fortress. Carthage or no Carthage, it is the most defensible town in our empire, for all the reasons I stated already...

    AK5, Rule of the idiots

Most of our army is on the Aztec border. With some lucky catapulting, you can probably take out the North plus one or two cities in the East before you run out of troops. But watch out for sneak attacks from the West. Newly produced units should probably stay and guard around the capital. I was...

Not any more, they are at peace now. Their citizens are happy. And the Fortress is as well defended as it could be. It has walls, a barracks, and only one approach to the city over flat ground. That's THE BEST possible defensive position we could ever hope for. Taking out the Carthaginian...

cMM2 - STRANDED (easy level, tough map)

So, we're at peace with the Hittites? There was no pressing need to sign a treaty. We were scoring points against them. None of our cities were in danger. Sure, they could have taken our Carthage, but so what, we have adequate defenses at the Fortress and could have set up a nice killing zone...

    AK5, Rule of the idiots

Oh, shoot, I messed up. I saw that puny border and my first instrinct was to rush a library. At least it wasn't a temple, so I'll escape Bede's infamous temple rant this time :) But this means we have to raze and replace everything. We can't keep those Aztec cities we're about to conquer.

    AK5, Rule of the idiots

1.450: Upgrade some warriors, move the rest to be upgraded next turn. 2.460: Inca pay 5 gold for ROP. We need to hold our Inca border so we can clean up the Aztecs more safely. 470, 480: Nothing much, just moving our galley and sending troops to the Aztec border. 5.490: Anarcy is...

If you still have a spot open, I'd like to join in the fun. I haven't played Germany since Vanilla C3. Somehow, I never had the patience for civs with a late UU :)

Carlos was playing, but he never posted a turn log or a saved game. Maybe he got so excited about the GA he forgot to finish his turns :)
