    More evil civs!

So someone tell me what "open scars" are left from the 19th century? Lol @ people who supposedly like history but can't even get their century designations correct. WWI and WWII happened in the 20th (it even actually says that in the Germany start up screen iirc). As well Rommel is in the game...

Ability to disable a Civ under random

Really advanced setup hasn't worked for me in disabling other civs from being the AI in my games. Hasn't worked for me when I play random under that setup and those civs being selected for me either.

Why don't you play with mods?

I used to use mods all the time: from fixes I thought should be in the game (stone works in plains, copper added to mint, start with scout), simple mods (info addict), civs (Canada), and cheat mods (really advanced setup, in-game editor, unlimited barb xp). I found that when Jain mods I was...

    most disheartening moments in games?

Actually I mean their blood. I start out wanting to build spaceships, I end up launching missiles. I want to spread my influence, I end up forcing it into others via the tip of a bayonet. Etc, etc. There always seems to be a reason (good one) to go to war, and once it starts.....

    most disheartening moments in games?

The most disheartening thing I've found is that regardless of what Civ I pick and what my original intentions were; it always ends in blood.

Get your armies away from my cities! and other diplo issues

This. On marathon games having frigates/privateers up for 35 turns before anyone else can be a huge advantage. Although I'm not sure that the AI really upgrades their military units or just builds new ones. It's mostly a principle thing for me. I got them doing underhanded things and told...

Get your armies away from my cities! and other diplo issues

I've heard the reasoning behind the AI being able to ask your intentions when your army is in proximity to their borders and a player is unable to make a similar request. But the rational is bunk! I should be able to ask (especially friends!) the AI to cease their movements around my borders...

    Honor Tree

Armies are crazy expensive, and if you're building an early army you aren't building cargo ships/caravans making them even more expensive. I find this a much bigger detractor for early warring than the warmonger penalty. I'm a big supporter of classical and medival warring (I find you can get...

    Most OP civilzation?

Spain can be seriously OP once the policies, religious bonus', tenants, world wonders, and world congress pile up. I've got in my current game (huge fractal and marathon speed) Mt Fuji 4gold 16culture 14 faith Sri Prada 4food 10culture 16faith 4happy Uluru 4food 10culture 20faith Grand Mesa...

    City states' UU's

I just did a quick google search and couldn't find what I was looking for. Is there a list of which militaristic CS give what UU. Almaty just gave me a sexytime Carolean, and I know I've been given Samurais before as well (iirc) the Etheopian UU. Wondering what the others are.

    Most underrated civ

Lol Maya underrated. The UB alone squashes any underrated talk, it's straight up not fair (cheapest building to rush buy as well isn't it?

    Successful Early Wars?

Liberate a CS or another civ's city taken by another Civ. Gives you a big diplo bonus, should offset warmonger.

    I hate you RNG!

I do have that mod, as well as the in game editor (which allows NW placement). Using them does however feel a little bit like cheating to me (and if I leave the editor enable I do tend to, uh, abuse it). I was also under the impression if you use mods your score won't be saved in your...

Ren. & Industrial: Or How I Keep Getting Stuck In All The Shinies.

Remember the old history channel show "Battles BC"? If I'm in win win win mode that's me, a good classical era war to boost my empire and give it a real solid base on which to build (ie two Capitol cities at least). Sure people may hate you, just go liberate some stuff, they'll come around. I...

Do the Ottomans need a buff?

Always loved playing Sully on an archie map for not just early naval dominance, but complete naval dominance throughout the entire game. I basically farm those arctic/Antarctic snow islands for free ships (and near maintenance free too!), upgrade them into a caravel Zerg force and smash them...
