    This is a good tactic, cities should be watched closely to maximise....uhhh.....stuff (eg production, science)

    I didnt see the river selection, thats what I like to build on, but normal grassland will do, If its not there I'll make it :)

    I don't see why you couldn't get split like the AI does..Maybe, no probably the size of your empire before you get split would vary with the difficulty..
