Have been reading the thread "CIVILIZING THE BARBARIANS" and it seemed to turn into more of a debate on the pros and cons of cheating, so I thought i'd stick my oar in.
I am new to the game (reasonably) and am still learning it so find the cheat mode a kinda useful tool. Lets face it, it is a complex game to learn and play properly ...with any success! I have two games running at the moment. One I am playing with out ANY cheating at all, like any game should really be played (..including politics!) The other I am cheating like mad. It's a great way to find out how things work at all levels i.e. how one military unit fares against another.
Also my eight year old daughter loves it when I "accidently" Nuke an opponent that is still has a grass skirt and a bone through the nose! And, Hey, thats O.K. Why should'nt she be able to enjoy the game? Besides, " We can just make another one, Dad!" She gets bored with the "real" game and I don't want to stop her playing so cheating is fine....IT'S ONLY A GAME...IS'NT IT?

I cheat when I'm bored or when I'm making scenarios, that's all

You shall be reported to the authorities.
Isn't New Zealand a nuke-free zone? :nuke: ;) :nuke:

I'll only cheat after I finish a game by going to AC - just to look the AI over before deleting the save. It makes me feel good to see how I can outwit some electronic charges on carbon and silicon.

The problem I have is when people save their game and then reload it accidently if they lose. Its fine if they are new ish to the game because it helps them to learn when to attack and when not to. Hpowever if they do cheat this way there is no way of telling because it doesn't show up on their score yet it is still cheating.
