    COTM76 - First Spoiler

Well, I moved 1 SE and founded Istanbul next to the wheat. First I build 2 warriors and a granary. The first warrior went W. Around 3500 or 3450 I saw a Byzantine warrior. Five or six turns later, a stack of a warrior and a spearman, near Istanbul. My warrior returned to Istanbul, now 2...

Are you running Vista? If yes, uninstall .NET 1.1 (hotfix) and be careful with the automatic upgrade that will install it again (and CAII will stop running). With Vista, you need ONLY .NET Framework 1.1 (I mean, NO 1.1 (hotfix) and NO 1.1 SP1) Good luck!

Tom, I'm not a programmer, but I think the different .net (1. 2. 3.) are not different versions but different programs (or whatever they are). I'm sure that with .net 2 CAII don't work (search this thread for more details). So the answer is not, you need to install...

    Question about reloading.

Well, I don't know you, but for sure I don't understand English very well. You must have mercy of we, no native English speaking!

    Question about reloading.

@ AlanH, The first time I started a COTM, when I finished my session I chose the "retirement" option instead of "quit game", as I had usually done in Epic Games (although I never like seeing the world map). When I saw the map screen, I thought that was cheating, so after that I just quit the...

This point had been talked before. IIRC, is not easy to know if the AI will trade with gpt (something related with your reputation:confused: ). IIRC Ainwood said that CAII uses something of Windows (I'm not a programmer!) to make sure that the first click in the game don't take any action...

    News: COTM38 Pre-Game Discussion

Silversheep has Civ3 Complete (Civ3 vanilla, PTW and Conquests), not the Complete Edition. And as Più Freddo said, you don't need a patch for CIV3 Complete just be sure to start the Civ3Conquests.exe, in the conquests directory. IIRC, the play button launches the CIV3 vanilla exe file.

Sirdanilot not refers to the alerts window, but the CAII icon in the upper left corner of the screen. As Gmaharriet said there isn't a easy solution.

@Ainwood: Are you still support CAII? I have a misspicture report. C3C complete, COTM31. CAII world map shows two marsh tiles as grassland, but the 'Details' section identifies correctly. IIRC the E, NE marsh ones, at that moment unexplored, are shown Ok. (also the marsh tiles in the West...
