I think that you can keep the cuba´s unit, just change his name to Partisan, or something like that. I liked the idea of continental UU, but, you will have to be carefull to not give the same unit to culturaly difent countries. I´ll serach more about the history of this countries, to help...

Why not give him the same name as civ2 - partisan (isn´t is?)? In my opinion, the bandeirante will be quite better than pracinha... ;) either his historical value is much better...
