OK, there's still LOTS of work to be done, but I thought those of you who want to play test the mod while I work out the fancy stuff coudl do so.

I still need to make some unit graphics (Gaucho and Bandierente) but they have replacements.

I also still have to make the Civilopedia, PediaIcons, the Unit pcx thing, and the Credits.

But, all the leaderheads and diplomatic leaderheads are in there, all the other units, resources, and everything else you need.

The actual mod is in the scenario folder so you don't have to replace your Civ3Mod for a stupid beta.

There are 2 version. Large download with everything, and small download for modders who already have all the unit graphics.

I forgot to add the wonder splashes and the pediaicon file so they work... i'm fixing it right now.

EDIT: Ok, it's fixed

Ok, I guess nobody cares about this. That sucks cause I need some playtesters.

Oh well. I'm gonna keep working on the mod whether people like it or not. :king:

Seperated North America from South America for different Continental Unique Units. North American civs keep the Mounted Warrior, but South American civs get the Bowman. I figured it looked enough like an Incan or other South American bowman. This will allow me to add Canada in the XP without having too many civs with Mounted Warriors and is more accurate.

I also added the Humvee and the PPS-15 Radar.

I still have ALOT of work to do. 2 more units and all the civilopedias.

Still looking for playtesters. I recommend the Vietnamese or Israelis.

Trust me. id love to test, you seem to have put ALOT of work into this, even dabbling in unit graphics, but with my slow 56k, it would take about about an Hour to get :( and its only a beta :goodjob: ;)

56k? That's a blast from the past. I've only had cable for a few months and I'm already getting ignorant ;)

Thanks for offering, though!

I've been playing a completely Random 8 player game to playtest. It just so happens I ended up with Israel, one of my favorite civs in the mod.

I must say, it's the funnest game I've played so far. I had to beat off the most powerful starting Civ, South Africa, in the very beginning, but they retreated in fear of my Chariots (which I got immediatley thanks to close horses). Then, my western neighbor of Iran decided it would wage war with their Immortals but I taught them a lesson with my Horsemen (how Horseman can dominate Immortals I don't know), and pushed them away from me a little. Now it's 1410 and I'm in a war with the Island nation of Egypt. They used a Galley to get a city right next to me, which is fine. But later, it turned out that city contained the only saltpeter on the continent! So, naturally, I took the city and now Camel Riders are in Egypt itself. The first thing to greet me there were some ancient War Chariots but now their all dead and hordes of Arabian Knights are heading towards my Camel Riders. I hope I can get some more caravels over there before it's too late or else this invasion is a failure. But, my southern friends the Palestinians, and most advanced nation in the world, have agreed to make an alliance.

This mod is alot better then I thought. The stories that have come out of it are far better then the original game. That's probably just because of my ego, too... when I used to play as Rome, I would just conquer everybody as soon and as fast as I could. That would eventually make me bankrupt and falling apart.

I've been up all night playing as Bolivia. Definately the sleeper civ of the mod, but yet I didn't sleep all night.

The Carden-Lloyd was a shining star when I had to go to another continent to fight Israel during my world war. The place was a war zone and the main battlefield (as the holyland usually is), so railroads and roads were hard to find, and that extra movement and cheaper cost tank let me have the advantage where infantry, marines, and even tanks were having problems.

:tank:

I'm the same as jandor i would like to test it but it would just take to long for me to download it

It also sounds like your having a great game so good luck

The Bolivia game turned out great.

I highly recommend playing as them when you play on continents or large islands and like to fight it out during the tank era. The Carden-Lloyd is very helpful for this. It surprised me very much.

I hope I can get this mod out soon so you guys can play it, but godamn it's getting difficult.

Hi Sween! I couldn´t be able to post here an mesage before... sorry :(

But, very nice the mod!! :D I´ll do the download now!

hey, FfEeLlIiPpEe! haven't seen you in awhile.

i'm going to add flavor units for the italians just to make them more interesting. legionary will have the same stats as the swordmans, and the centaurian (the phalanx graphic) will have the same stats as a spearman. of course, their UU will still be an improved version of the timeless battleship.

I added a bunch of flavor units for Italy, Germany, and Argentina.

The problem is, the mod is now 10.5 megabytes. I'll come out with a version for people who already have all the unit graphics, and link to where you can download them individually if you don't have them.

Is there ANYTHING that ANYBODY would like to see in the GT mod? Is there another wonder that should be in there? ANYTHING?

There is now a 1.7 mb zip file of the mod on the website.

Of course, setting this up on your computer takes time, too, because you have to go through your unit folders to copy and rename the ones you have to what they're named in the mod and also have to download the ones you don't have individually. The units section shows all of the added units you need to know about, and has a link to where you can download each one.

Good luck! :suicide:

Sween, i heve a little idea...

Why don´t you create an "main .zip" for example, wich contains "common" files that all civs have, and one .zip for each civ?

Sween,

the name is Bandeirante, and not "Bandierente". ;)

Gaucho, is the name of the south´s people. Here in Brazil, who was born in the south states (Santa Catarina, Paraná or Rio Grande do Sul) is a Gaúcho...;)

Regards,

The Gaucho I'm making is an Argentine horseman, and the independance fighters of Uraguay. They don't use guns, they use whips.

PS: Congrats on winning the Cup
