Hello, I recently started playing Civilization V on my more than adequate iMac and noticed that during the late game, it sometimes ran a little slowly for my liking. I'm not going to complain about the leaders' graphics as I know this has something to do with Windows technology not ported...
Hi there. I just downloaded Civilisation 5 from steam (for Mac OS X) and I noticed that even though the game's running on a nearly top-notch iMac (2.8 GHz i7 processor, ATI HD 4850 4GB RAM etc.) I still can't select maximum quality for leaders in the graphics menu while I can set everything else...
Thanks again. Oh and, in case I accidentally misled you before, the mini mod isn't about the "Very Late" thing. Now that I think of it, I can make it a full-scale mod.
Thanks for the reply. So it's a C++ "issue". I thought so but I still couldn't find it. Anyway, I'll try it and report back. As I mentioned before, it's going to be a mini mod, but I'll have to get permission from the creator of the 3D models and give him and possibly (I don't know if I'll make...
What I mean is that there probably is a file that specifies which ages belong to the early game, which to the middle game and which to the late game. And what I want to do is to edit the file so that I can add a VeryLateArtDefineTag.
Excellent tutorial Sovarn. However, there's one thing still bugging me. I'm trying to create my first mini-mod (yes, I'm new to this) but in order to do this, I need to find the file that "defines" the <EarlyArtDefineTag><EarlyArtDefineTag/>, the <MiddleArtDefineTag><MiddleArtDefineTag/> and the...
I know it won't run. That's why I suggested the Mac version and also I know about the mods as I said they won't work on a Mac and you're absolutely right about this. Oh, by the way, may I ask you a question? Have you found any good tutorials on how to make custom unit models using either...
I'm sorry for not having posted here for a while. In fact, there is A Civilization 4: Gold Edition for Mac and you can also buy Civilization 4: Beyond the Sword for the Mac. So I don't think there is a problem. Oh, now I get your point. It's the mod that's not compatible, not the game itself.
At last. A Windows user frustrated with his operating system. Although it might sound like advertising (which is not compliant with the forum rules), have you thught of switching to a Mac? Check this out: http://www.apple.com/mac/. You might find the one that suits you.
Thank you very much. I couldn't save the picture as a .dds file because I'm using a mac. The mod will be for home use only. But if I upload it you'll take the credit for Bolivar.
Does anybody know if there is an application that converts photoshop files to dds files for mac? I want to convert an image that I created in photoshop to a dds file so that I add Simon Bolivar to the game. If anybody can help by either posting the name of the application or by posting a dds...
