I tried this once way back in CivII while trying to aid the Japanese in a war i didnt want to get involved in directly. They never figured out what to do with the units and i never again gave away any of my forces. Edit: have the AI gotten better at it now?

Have to agree that early game is most fun, especially once ive gotten samurai. only real fun i have in late game is building mass Cobra squadrons and seeing how much chaos they can cause before they all get killed.

I dont think i could have worded it better. I do wish to add that they should be able to rebase on carriers, or add helicarriers, in Civ4. For some reason i cant get them to rebase on carriers even after editing.

seafaring all the way. i play on continental maps, always maintain a strong navy, and love Numidien Mercenaries. anytime i get a seafaring civ, i just know its gonna be endless centuries of war :D

The Germans are my favorite civ, even tho I rarely play them anymore. Mostly cause im half German and it just feels right blitzing my enemies with panzers. Lately tho, the Romans and Carthaginians are takin over.

Nope, i dont like my minimap to be all brown. Mostly Romans Egyptians and Germans. i find the unit highlights of those civs visually pleasing.

its risky, but you can also just keep a small military. quite often to incite an invasion, ill disband a given amount of units and then demad a city from my neighbor till he/she is furious. its only a matter of time then. of course, sometimes it backfires with obvious consequences...
