    My Civ2 is working again!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Did anyone else try the Star Wars Insurrection conversion? How was it? BTW the link in the Civ2 - Scenario League Hosted forum for the Scenario League at the top of this forum is dead

    Loaded Sea Transport Generator

I only figured it out towards the end and it was only ever used in my DST 3.0, the last thing I ever released. If only there was time to have retrofitted it into my Star Trek BAQ, it would have been awesome for the Borg (guess I don't have to care about spoiler alert about the Borg coming to...

    Loaded Sea Transport Generator

Did I ever disclose my secret of using events to create transports pre-loaded with troops?

Any really good MGE scenarios released in the past 10 years worth trying out?

    Kobayashi is Back

Somehow MGE works on my Windows 7 now and I started playing again. I tried my Dainichi Sekai Taisen 3.0 and got trounced by the AI. Seems I am a bit rusty. Anyway I just wanted to say hi to any of the old timers who check in once in a blue moon.

Another What If - the Pacific Theatre

This is a general reply to all the posts above posted. I do not think the US would have entered a war with Japan under any circumstances barring being attacked first. In spite of their great military potential, the US Navy was numerically (5 vs 8 Carriers) and technologically on par or...

Another What If - the Pacific Theatre

What if Japan left Hawaii, the Philippines and whatever minor US islands (Wake, Dutch Harbour etc.) alone and only attacked those parts of Asia controlled by European powers? If the U.S. did not intervene in Europe without Hitler declaring war on them, its very likely they would care even less...

A civil discussion of alternate WWII history

to develop the idea further.... Besides Oil from Ploesti, one should also have wonders/techs making units obsolete associated with Manganese in Ukraine, Nickel in Norway, Bauxite in France, Tungsten from Spain via France

A civil discussion of alternate WWII history

After thinking about this, I think an alternate route linked to one central premise would be quite viable. Germany (Hitler) not making one or more key early mistakes, like: Finishing Off Gibraltar/North Africa/Suez Canal before bothering with Russia (plus believing Enigma Machine to be...

    Economy.

Interesting that you mention this. Unlike the new Civ iterations, Civ2 did not really have any type of economic victory options and I had to radically alter the game to make the key strategies: trade routes terraforming espionage bribery I have yet to come across any player...

    Economy.

Leon Marrick was way before my time, and Wealth of Nations was one of my last works. (I also made Rape of Nations, which is the unrelated prequel) So I guess the answer Ingvar is "nope, not me". So sad to see a large proportion of the companies I used (i.e. city name list) in that...

    Mge => tot

I noticed someone is (systematically?) converting MGE scenarios to TOT and then uploading them... <gives the guy a pat on the back for encouragement>
