so my culture can take over another civilization's city unless that city was originally mine? That doesn't make sense to me. Is that right?

    Destorying culture

I have a city that was taken over by Egypt in the last war I fought. The city is a size 1 and it is completely engulfed in my culture all around its borders. I have my neighboring cities producing culture. Wy wont this city flip back to me?

    Destorying culture

That's why the Germans were destroying all my cities rather than taking them over. Culture definitly changed in this game compared to CIV III. I haven't checked the city screen yet, but if I take over a city, do all their cultural items get destroyed as well (like temples, theaters, radio...

    Civil War

I remember in CIV II or III if you took over a nation's capital, that nation would split and go to civil war. The Space Ship would also get recalled from space. Does the same thing happen in CIV IV?

    Destorying culture

I'm new to CIV 4 so as I play I need to figure things out. In one game I am playing I am the Romans and I have the Germans to the north of me. Their culture is encrouching on mine to the point where I am losing too much territory. Since I can't "out culture" them I decided to go to war with...

    Civ Rankings

On the right side of the screen I see an overall score of the different civs in the game. I can click on their name to get in contact with the leaders. Does that score also account for military might or is it just based on number of cities, culture, world wonders, national wonders, etc...?

    National Wonders

I know National Wonders are different than World Wonders, but is there a cap to how many civs can build a national wonder? For example Mt Rushmore, the first 3 civ to build it can do so, but after that no one else can build it for their civ? Sometimes I go to build a national wonder and the...

There you have an executable for CIV IV which is what I was using and it is also what automatically runs when you insert the CD. However, there is a Warlords folder in there as...

    Civ 4 Gold Edition

I recently bought Civ 4 Gold Edition which is supposed to include CIV 4 and the Warlords Expansion. However, I don't think the Warlords Expansion installed and I don't see how I can install it. When I put in the CD it sees that I already installed Civ 4 so my only option is to PLAY. How can I...

    Religion benefits

I'm new to CIV 4 but not to the CIV series. I'm just trying to understand how to use religion to my benefit. If I have founded Christianity, I believe I get gold for every city that practices it, correct? So it would be good for me to keep sending out missionaries and spreading my religion...
