The music is played like a midi file, all the instrument sounds are in a pile in the sound effects folder, so you would have to either play the game and rip the audio, or try and reconstruct the music from the instrument sounds.

Good point :) I managed to remove the last scraps of fungus, and learned a few things: 1) Native lifeforms will still pop out of nowhere, just not as frequently. 2) Transcending is unaffected, and the fungus still splooges all over the place as soon as you build the ascent to transcendance...

You're going to hate this, but you don't need to move a city to get the resource. You automatically get access to a resource a city is sitting on as soon as the relevant technology is available. Building a city on a resource is a good way to keep enemies from blockading it, actually.

You should be able to create a Spy Sattelite unit, and upon completion select a spot on the map and it would give you line of sight, maybe the size of a city's fat cross. I think once it's placed it would be unmovable.

It could fill the fat crosses with a solidly transparent color, like when you look at the religion or culture zones from the global view. That way any overlaps would be easily visible, and the city circles would be much more visible than the cultural boundaries, which don't matter nearly as much...

When you select a settler it should draw the fat cross around all the cities, and a less visible cross around the prospective settler.

Even if you repeal the U.N. Charter, factions will still usually all gang up on you when you use planetbusters. The U.N. Charter repeal mostly affects nerve stapling and nerve gas, stuff like that, afaik. The worst unit in the game is artillary, hands down. In civ 4 you NEED something to take...
