Hotkey for toggling "No Unit Cycling"?

I was asking how to program something in AutoHotkey. Now, I hit Alt-U (just one keystroke), and it does all that. I call that a shortcut.

Forest Preserve spread rate bonus too low?

Thanks, Ori... huh, another little game within the game (how to make roads or not, and harvest forests or not, if you want to encourage them for harvesting). I have been watching my (Tiny) games over the past week and can't recall a clear instance of a forest/jungle growing diagonally. (This...

Patch_319 InstallShield runs - then nothing happens

Hi, I'm having trouble that sounds a lot like the current thread XP: InstallSheild tries to install the latest patch, fails, aborts installation, but I'm not sure it's the same (and didn't want to crash that thread)... I got Civ4 Complete on DVD and have WinXP. Everything seemed to install...

Hotkey for toggling "No Unit Cycling"?

In case anyone is interested, here's my AutoHotkey script for toggling Unit Cycling. The "+" means, Shift the Tab that appears right after it (7 times). Also note, sometimes a simple key combo (like ^O in Autohotkey) or other combos don't work in games, so you have to spell them out while using...

    Wow - does Civ4 rock!

Well, ok, what the heck, I'll try anything once. Thanks for the tips!

    Wow - does Civ4 rock!

Well gosh Steve... frankly it sounds impossible. I mean, sure, the AI is kinda lame, but not so lame it can't beat your 1 city with its 15 cities, lol! What do you have to do, raze every other city on the map?

Rate of forest/jungle creep, and factors affecting it?

Thank you for digging that up, Kossin! If interested, please see my reply on that thread (via your link to Ori's post)

Forest Preserve spread rate bonus too low?

Hey Ori (or others), Am I understanding right - For clarity, let's call the vacant tile (with no forest) the target tile, and the adjacent tiles with forest the source tiles... Am I understanding right: It doesn't matter if you have (rail)road on the source tiles, only the target tile...

    Wow - does Civ4 rock!

On the one-city challenge, the other civs can only have one city too, right?

    Wow - does Civ4 rock!

Hi Nekom, For many months I played the Huge Marathon "Earth" map. My current Tiny games, where I can try all kinds of things and it only takes 2-3 days to finish, is a real refreshing change to those 2-3 week games. I'll probably go back to bigger games sooner or later.

Rate of forest/jungle creep, and factors affecting it?

Would anybody know how likely forest/jungle is to grow into an undeveloped square? I suppose it's defined as "x chance per turn", multiplied by each(?) square with forest or jungle next to it? (So it can be up to 8 x the base rate if "totally surrounded", eh?) Clearly it will never grow...

    Wow - does Civ4 rock!

Thanks Mark, S.Bernbaum, and ParadigmShifter... FWIW I am lately focussing on Tiny map, Noble, (can fight; not Space Race), vs. 1 opponent so we start on different continents... then getting the early 5 religions (all except Tao and Islam) (and sometimes I get all 7)... I never realized...

Hotkey for toggling "No Unit Cycling"?

Right, this works great, Dave... nothing Autohotkey can't handle. I should have thought of Tabbing (or shift-Tabbing) through the menus, since Civ is so keyboard-friendly anyway. Thanks again! - MK

Hotkey for toggling "No Unit Cycling"?

19 times out of 20 I want Unit Cycling on - but that 20th time happens a lot if you're a Civ freak like me. Is there some way to toggle the Option of No Unit Cycling from the keyboard - a simple keystroke combination, instead of having to go to Options? If there's a way to "program" this...

Select "all units between here and here", like you can do in Windows?

Hi Tiger, No, I'm not talking about units from multiple tiles. I am talking about when you have 30 or 100 units in one tile. So it's clear, let's say you have 20 units on one tile. You want to select units 8 to 12, as they are laid out on the units-in-the-tile "ribbon" as you view the...
