The negative effects of Industrial Parks seem to outweigh their benefits. 2:yuck: plus another 2:yuck: for resources, just to get a free engineer (and can build 2 more). Is this really worth it in most cases?
I got the free cover event within the first few turns of my current game. It could have been game changing except that it took me a while to hook up copper or iron; I had to rely on an Immortal rush instead.
Here's a save.
I don't know if it's the same bug or not. The Three Gorges Dam is not involved.
The city has +25% hammers from the forge and +25% from the factory. It does not have a benefit from the coal plant (the National Park was built after the coal plant, removing access to coal and...
I'm not convince it's not a bug. I played a OCC game where the city had coal within it's radius. I built a coal power plant and received the +2:yuck:
I then built the National Park which removed access to coal. I still received the +2:yuck: for power, but the benefits of the power plant where...
I had a quest to take over a Holy City. It was part of my plan anyway.
I took it over and immediately received a message that my quest had failed. :( Maybe I didn't read something right.
I had a simultaneous quest to take over a Horse resource (not too far from the Holy City). I finished...
If you don't want them to do anything important, automate them. In the options check off "leave existing improvements" and "leave forests" (if you want). They'll either hang out in cities or build roads and useless improvements. Either way you don't have to worry about them.
Is there any way to increase the odds of attracting a religion? (short of capturing a city)
I have a nice game going, founded 5 religions. However, everyone else on the continent has Buddhism as their state religion (the one I didn't found).
I thought I had the win, but it has been rejected for reloading:(
I know a can do another win, but maybe someone can help me prevent this in the future. I ran the gameplay log after the win again and saw this:
Session 2: 4000BC
Session 3: 485AD
Session 4: 890AD
Session 5: 1400AD
I'm...
Finished the guantlet. I did some reading in the forums about how to get a cultural victory (and other victories with a decent score). I've never taken the time to read strategy before, which has made me a mediocre player, especially with the "new" victory conditions. I've picked up lots of bad...
