    I'm semi-retired; ex-Wall Start / internet start-ups, and I've turned my hand to fiction writing.

    My semi-official undergraduate "specialty" was the transformation, in Western Europe, from feudalism to capitalism. My present intellectual fascinations include evolutionary biology, macro economics, and historiography (the way historians "develop" history.) In short, I'm fascinated by the way large systems change over time. Of all the Civ series games, I believe that C3C can best be used for appreciating this in global history.
