I think that for me its less the civ switching and more the ages and the map opening up later in the game. Also the achievments for each age. It feels like its holding your hand. I think it will be good for multiplayer though if your into that.
I havent played it yet but it seems like its going away from the type of game I enjoy. I like a good single player game where I really feel immersed in a large mysterious world. This feels jarring, disjointed, and arcady. Ill stick to earlier iterations, at least until a good sale happens.
I was certainly no huge fan of Civ 5, especially at launch. Felt too board gamey compared to previous titles, and lacked features. After all the expansions, added content, and even Ideologies it really turned into quite a fun game. Hopefully I didn’t hurt anyone’s feelings by using the word...
Why do people even want fancy leaders. So they can spend all their money on the art department? I just want to play the game. Just stick them in front of a painting like civ 5.
I dont get it. Dont expansions usually take a year or more to get done. Gathering Storm hasnt even been out for a year. Are they really taking a long time?!
I'm kind of a pessimist but this game will never be as good as civilization 4. Civ 5 has better graphics and fighting but all the other levels of the game are pretty bad.
Why don't you just buy the Nations that you must have this moment, otherwise wait to buy the first expansion. Thats what Im going to do. There probably isn't any need to complain and go on and on about nothing. However I do find it all very amusing so either way.
