That's weird. I'm playing a 16 civ game on Marla's World Map right now too, and am having the opposite experience. The AI has colonized everything. It really makes the game seem less realistic to see Siberia, Northern Canada, and Africa as densly populated as the traditional population centers...

I do that sometimes.. Especially with ships. One option I always wished for was the ability to name ships. Wouldn't it be cool to see H.M.S. Prince of Wails or U.S.S. Nimitz instead of just "battleship" or "carrier"?

I'll play.. About the map, is there a way to play historical starting locations on the world map yet? If not then I would much rather play with a random map.
