I would compare putting money into this computer to fixing an old car, sure you can get it back on the road but 2 months later its gonna need more work.
Go to the store and buy a can off air.
Remove your video card.
Walk outside.
Use the can of air on video card to remove the years of dust.
Put video card back in computer.
Play games.

I would recommend not upgrading your system but saving up for a decent rig. Go to techspot.com they have a 600$ rig that will run everything nice and smooth for the next couple of years.

Unfortunately CIV4 is a major RAM Whore:blush: I play CIV4 on a P4 2.66ghz dual core w/2GB of 667 RAM with a 256mb PCI-E 7300GS and it still hangs on huge maps later on in the game.
