Thank you f1rpo. It was the "Toggle Bare Map" button! I've never used it and I'd forgotten all about it. It just goes to show the wisdom of the old saying "Check the b******* obvious! I was probably aiming at the Toggle Yield Display button and missed.

Hi Everybody, I live in the UK and bought CIV there. But now I am in the US for two weeks. Can I buy Warlords here and take it back to the UK with me? (Well, obviously I CAN, but will it work properly?)

My friend and I want to start a PBEM game. We are both new to PBEM. We had thought we could avoid a long slow start up by playing one of the scenarios, but we can't find how to start a scenario in multiplayer. Can anyone help?

I miss the advisor screen that showed the garrison in each city. The new unit location screen is wonderful, but it doesn't do that job. For me, the lack of it is one of the few examples of something that has become more unfun - having to go round every now and then to check each individual...

(1) Late game slowdown and (2) units going round the world the wrong way when attacking across the seam are the only things that I have seen. I voted for very few bugs.

I go along with those who say subs are not the best unit in the world, but they have their place. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is their ability to go under the ice. This is not only cool, but moderately useful. Often it's the only way to pillage those enemy arctic crab fisheries...

Thanks lost civantares. It isn't the clouds themselves that I don't like, but the time it takes to go from the zoomed out ordinary view to the world view. Particularly when I didn't mean to go there. I will get the blue marble mod. It sound good, but from what I read in the thread it seems...

Please, please, kind Firaxis, can we have a button or a key or something that will zoom out to just below the clouds. I like large maps and I don't know how many times I have tried to zoom out so I can see a reasonable amount of my wonderful empire only to have everything stop for long...

3 for me usually. Two archers and an axe. I use the axe to rush out and smite the intruders if I get a good opportunity. If I have horses I like to keep a few a little way back so I can quickly reinforce threatened areas.
