Please advise if 5.3 will work with patch 1.74. It starts and plays through the first year but I would like to know if it will crash during some future turn I would hate to play for hours and lose it all.

I saw it but do not understand it I need an explaination in straight English of what to do. I am not a computer Gru or even close to it.

I created a file MaxRigaMod in the MOD directory and extracted the files to that file . That is what MaxRiga showed me with the picture of what the Mods dir. should look like. If you can spell it out to an old man in English of what to do I will give it another try. I am not a computer Gru.
