I googled Chanakya and the first pic that shows up on the results-page (from a movie/TV-show I guess?) makes him look like Jayavarman's long lost twin.. :D

I still like both games.
However:
1UPT - most of the time, anyway
Graphics and audio are nicer - but no Spock .. :(
Religious game is more fun in V - IV's religions are a bit too generic for my taste
new features like natural wonders and ranged combat
OTOH, V usually lacks truly...
I don't see why they shouldn't be able to adapt the "Merchant of Venice"-mechanic for Civ VI. Either that or a different unique ability to take over city-states as you could in V.

Ottomans would be nice, I just hope they'd get more interesting traits/units than in V.
Speaking of large, multi-ethnic empires: What about Austria-Hungary?
Inca or Maya should pretty much be a given, considering how few American Civs are in the game. In fact, I would argue for both of them to...
I seriously doubt they'd "give away" all new leaders in the teaser-video - that would kinda defeat the purpose of them stretching out the introduction of new leaders/features.
Besides: The Statue of Liberty and the Berlin Wall feature pretty prominently in the video... so shouldn't we be...

As for the alternative leader...
Edited title. Please no "click-bait" titles
Unless I've overlooked someone, overall we have:
Japan
Indonesia
Korea
China
The Mongols
Khmer
The Scythians
India
and I suppose you could also count Australia and large chunks of Russia?
While I'm at it:
Europe: 10 Civs, 11 leaders - 11/12 if...
Interesting ... that's pretty much how we pronounce his name/title in German (it's spelled "Dschingis" over here).
Question is: How much difference is there between modern Mongolian and whatever the people in Genghis' time spoke?

In keeping with the spirit of one of my earlier posts re. the upcoming R&F-leaders:
Ohhhh, yes! I just hope he'll be as unhinged as his "I'm going to kick your ass"-animation from the first look video seems to suggest.
Haven't read the entire thread, so sorry if I'm kinda beating a dead...
