Civilization Beyond Earth or Euro Track Simulator 2?

With your strange logic, it's not. Go play chess or a boardgame.

Sci Fi Fans, any missing Affinities?

I never intended to make my post too serious...sorry if my sci-fi is not Arthur C. Clarke's standard. ;) Agree, it would be nonsense. The 3 affinities presented are good generalizations of possible outcomes of human evolution, i don't remember reading any science fiction that didn't...

Sci Fi Fans, any missing Affinities?

Primitivism.- the humans realize that, in order to avoid a new "Great Mistake", they need to go back to a primitive state where only pre-industial tech is allowed. You cannot research anything and expect to fight the Siege worms with stone age's warriors (with oxygen helmets of course). If you...

    Any new approaches for Japan?

I recently won an autocratic CV with Japan, King, Island Map, with a little warmongering. Plenty of fish and whales, and in the second island, two atolls. Lots of culture with the fishing boats. By the Middle Ages, i started to work on a few Samurais, Frigats and Privateers. The Samurais built...

How are you related to CiV?

I was born and live in a city state (Buenos Aires), my grand-grandparent was from another city state (Genoa - Italy). I'm an engineer (although not a great one sadly :mischief:, and don't work on a windmill or a workshop or a factory ) and I visited the following wonders: Cristo Redentor...

Ouch! that's never happened to me before...

Never saw an army that big even on King difficulty. In my last game, on King, Austria and the Incas DOW early in the game (was trying an expansion approach with Liberty, with 5 cities by turn 90) and definitely, they didn't like that. But their armies were a joke, Austria sent me 2 warriors...

    Food specialists and Great Farmers?

IMO, there's enough options to boost population growth: religion, social policies and maritime CS.

What is the best way to counter a tourism victory by a computer?

Pass the World Fair and get the 1st price (you'll need good hammer output), the huge cultural boost you get will be a good counter to their tourism.

Which Civ we should have before Civilization VI?

I'd like to see new civs with unique gameplay styles, like Venice. It gives a complete twist to the strategy you usually use with another civs. For example, the huns shouldn't be allowed to create new cities besides their capital, and create some mechanic (like the Merchant of Venice) to...

    Turns more slow

The quick movement option helps. In late game, every turn wait is 30 sec on standard map (i5, 4Gb RAM, Nvidia 540m notebook), with quick movement, only 10 seconds.

Do we want a third expansion and/or more DLC for Civ 5?

Looking at all the new features and mechanics they put in BNW, the game feels complete now, from the ancient to the information era. I think that another expansion with more stuff could add unnecessary complexity. What would be really cool is a new game using the same engine. Something similar...

What is your least favorite BNW civilization

In general, i like all of the new civs, they are varied enough and with different play choices. If i had to choose my least favourite...probably Poland, their UA doesn't seem to be interesting enough. But my final opinion will be when I play them all.
