I used to play Civ a long time ago but I'm here now mostly for forum games access. So you'll prbly see me in that section of the forum.

I started with CivI a long time ago (1993?) and all the following versions. And created this forum profile on 2001, but this is my first message in the forums :p

I got Civ Revolution for the DS a few years ago and when I had the chance to get Civ4 Warlords, BtS, and Col a year ago a made sure to get it. I've been lurking this site for a few moths and I decided it was time I made an account and joined the community.

Played Civ1, Civ2, dabbled in 3, sat out 4. A buddy got me into Civ 5 and recommended this as the site of choice to actually learn the 'next level' of the game.

Background: IT guy. Build gaming rigs as a side job/hobby. Game a lot, drink much beer, watch much football.

That's pretty much it, really. So...hi.
 
It finally took me a while to join this dang community, but I finally got to it after 3 years or so of putting it off, I decided I could put some of my time to good use. So here I am. I am a avid civ player and use to play civ rev on the Xbox for a very long time. Some of you may know me as murph4444, that is my console name. My console no longer works sadly so now I moved on to pc gaming. Well, anyways I play civ 5 all the time now and if you would like to play add me to steam as jmurph8111.
 
hi guys. I found CiviFanatics just today when i figured out i was sick of there being no multiplayer public matches in civ 5. I came here to look for regular members to play team matches and such so yeah... hi

PC Gaming is where its at anyhow. To each their own and all, but after gaming nonstop since PC games came into existence, I can't fathom the idea of gaming on a console any more to be honest.

Don't get me wrong, I've got a couple in the house, but the wife and kid use them. Gaming belongs on a PC, where the hardware is what *I* decide, and the behavior is dictated by MY decree.
 
if anyone wants to play a civ match {no matter how long or what type} just friend me on steam. Im Shiblord on steam... im Shiblord on every single forum or game actually... don't ask about the name :)
 
i agree with you Xaks... Sure i play the xbox 360 sometimes and and play COD and everything but true gamers are ones who play the PC
 
Hi, I'm Nikolai. Oldtimer from Poly and WPC, just never got around to register here before now. And then I see "Nikolai" is taken.:( Been an active part of the civ community since 2000.
