Yet when I pressed Riconatic to provide evidence for his claims, you remained oddly silent. Curious.
These forums are utterly compromised with shills, bots, and people arguing in bad faith.
Because people's actions have an effect on others.
Saying someone is "gravely mistaken in their facts" is disrespectful, especially when that same person point blank refuses to provide any facts to back up their weak argument. Not only that, I was accused of everyone's favourite fallback when...
Oh, stop using silly buzzwords to enhance a non-existent argument. You're the one making the claim; you provide the evidence. That's how debates work.
There should be zero burden to the gamer. Zero. I don't pay to be inconvenienced.
It's all pure fantasy and wishful thinking. There's no evidence at all that Denuvo will lead to favourable prices for consumers; it's priced the same as any other game release. Everyone understands that companies want to protect their products, but video game consumers seem to be the only subset...
Whatever. You've been given multiple examples of how Denuvo is a negative but choose to ignore them, and utterly refuse to consider the impacts on other people. If you think disrespect and trust are "nonsense" issues, I pity you. This conversation will go no further.
What benefits? Plenty of games forego software like Denuvo and they function just fine. They don't increase their prices to offset the profits projected lost by piracy. Denuvo is a net negative for you. Firaxis are adding this software because they disrespect you as a consumer and don't trust...
So it doesn't give any benefits to you, it may provide drawbacks to you, and its usage as an anti-piracy tool is shaky at best. Games are cracked often within days. I implore you to reconsider your position.
Preordering products emerged when there were limited stocks of physical items to actually order. People would preorder games to guarantee getting a copy within a reasonable time frame. Computer game shops often had delays restocking. It is completely and utterly pointless preordering digital...
You don't have to download the Galaxy client for anything. Just download the installers direct from the GOG website. I believe it's a strict GOG criterium that all games on the site must be playable offline with separate installers.
You didn't lose the argument. No one listened, or were too blinded by the "benefits" of purely digital "ownership". As with many other sectors, convenience kills.
I'm not comparing Civ 7 to anything, merely commenting on the given information so far. Nowhere have I mentioned 'Civ X did this better'.
I'd appreciate you cutting the snark out of your messages. It's rather unbecoming.
