    Marines and paratroops

I find that Marines have more general utility than Paratroopers but both are: Resourceless Gunpowder units - so benefit from Aggressive/Protective Either is better defending against tanks than infantry and better attacking than AntiTanks

    Destroying a Spaceship

Ta. In my particular circumstances in the game in question however neither applies: a) Because I have welll and truly lost the Espionage Battle b) I have forced Vassals tech down lines that will keep them away from wonders and spaceship components I don't want them to build before...

    Destroying a Spaceship

Ah, so really I should just cripple the hell out of those I am at war with now but not keep taking cities because their capital will end up in an obscure island. Anybody not at war with I should park the mother of all amphibious attack fleets just outside terrirorial waters near their capital...

    Destroying a Spaceship

I had thought taking their capital would do it; but apparently not, maybe I'm thinking of earlier versions because their progress is unchanged. Can this be done by anything other the complete obilteration of the civilisation in question?

What should I do next? You decide!

Okay, thank you to everyone who voted and a big thank you to everyone who gave their opinion. I think I should move up a difficulty level, which was the majority opinion, however I want to broaden my game before that. So I am going to stay where as the same difficulty but change my game...

    Marines or tanks?

Another good point, but you don't have to solely build an amphibious force from stratch. You can upgrade a wooden navy to get Destroyers and Transports, I'm not denying that that is more expensive on a per unit basis than infantry but: Upgrading all your ships <costs less than< Upgrading...

What should I do next? You decide!

I hardly ever build workshops or windmills usually just Farms, Cottages and Mines; waiting for Communism for them to become good doesn't have a lot of appeal. As I regularly gift cities back to my vassals I never have significant maintence issues; and I like to use corps, so. I know it's...

    Marines or tanks?

In addition to everything else: Because you can draft them Tanks v Marines depends on the map. Land maps push towards Tanks, but with coastal cities you may find Marines taking cities faster than tanks as sea movement in enemy territory is so much faster than land movement. Sea maps...

What should I do next? You decide!

Okay, when I first got the game I built military slowly and didn't really go on the offensive until the Industrial era. This led to a lot of Diplomatic Victories that were really conquest victories. I'm now playing on Prince, Standard world size, Epic speed and my typical game goes like this...

    Most and least interesting UB's?

How about if we got someone to mod hippos in as a resource you can build a mounted unit from? If we can have amphibious shock elephants there must be a niche for hippo borne parachutists. Strength 8 Move 1 Airdrop 3 Start with Amphibious and Woodsman 1. +10% attacking into or out of...

    Most and least interesting UB's?

Hippo comes from the Greek word for horse. Hippopotamus = Hippo (Horse) + Potami (River) Therefore means Riverhorse You can astound your friends with this near useless information.

Most Historically Accurate Thing That Ever Happened To You

You don't necessarily play for five days Sometimes it rains. And originally matches went on until you got a result, could take a week.

Most Historically Accurate Thing That Ever Happened To You

It's always been there in a selective reading of their history quoted out of context, but only really came to prominence in the run up to Iraq II when the French became more or less synomous with the international opposition. And it's much easier to say that people don't want to a war...
