Kaichu I Class Submarine

Kaichu I Class Submarine 2016-11-04

Kaichu I (medium Navy design No1) type. Designed in Japan in 1916 on the basis of Schneider-Laubeuf French submarines. In their construction peculiarities of Far East theatre for the first time have been considered. Submarines besides transverse bulkheads had longitudinal, that theoretically should raise their damage tolerance, but in practice it has made them only extremely tight and inconvenient for habitability. Diesels were delivered by Sulzer from neutral Switzerland. Double-hulled.

Boats of Kaidai 1 class as a whole have been recognised successful, however they have become operational already after the First World War.

The file contains all the sounds and pcx files. Model is not my own creation. Wyrmshadow provided the animation files and Ares de Borg did the sounds. I merely put the pieces together and cleaned up the model for CivIII and added some what if pieces. A big thanks to everyone that helped out!
