IMPORTANT MESSAGE:
hey everyone, I won't have a ton of time to work on this in the next few days so I'm releasing this update just to avoid leaving you out in the cold with a broken unusable mod, but beware that the merges with v1.1.1 have been rushed-out with no real testing, I just quickly fixed the incompatibility that was breaking the action-panel, made some quick necessary adjustments, checked that the army-commander-renaming was working, and not much more. I don't expect other gameplay-stoppers to be present, but don't be surprised if there are issues that I have missed. Some of the changes in this version were supposed to be optional, others were supposed to come in conjunction with a rework of the settlement-banners as well (unfortunately there's going to be some minor ovelap with the lowest icons of settlements and units standing on the city center for now). Those features were unfinished so I left them out of this release, this patch really forced my hand. The next version will definitely take a while, but please let me know of possible issues you find so that I can take note and fix stuff when possible. Here's the actual changelog, enjoy!

- New feature: the promotion/tier indicator will now play a flip animation when an upgrade or unspent promotion is available
- New feature: a new way of visualizing hostiles by alternating unit-icons with a skull-icon
- New feature: some new animations for the readiness indicator now include bobbing, pulsating and vanilla opacity change
- New feature: the logic for the readiness indicator can be inverted (to be used with vanilla opacity-change setting)
- New feature: new logic for the readiness indicator which takes into account unit commands
- New feature: healthbars can now be made permanent instead of dynamic (only damaged)
- New feature: settings have been implemented so some of the aforementioned stuff is actually optional
- New feature: status icons are now above the flag, have their own border and follow the color scheme
- Improvement: inverted the color of the hostility glow for better contrast
- Improvement: further improvements to centering and alignment of elements, especially floating healthbars
- Improvement: implemented status icons more actions such as skip turn, digging artifacts, and the scout's lookout
- Bugfix: some status icons were not refreshing appropriately in certain circumstances (unit awoken by nearby enemy)
- Bugfix: a code mistake that was causing harmless but somewhat spammy errors to be thrown in the console
- Misc: updated compatibility for v1.1.1 of the base game
  • New feature: nested-units are now represented with small dots growing bottom-to-top on both sides of the flag
  • New feature: the circle below commanders now shows the number of promotions
  • New feature: military units also have the circle and it shows their tier instead of the chevrons
  • New feature: units from all civilizations or minor factions have their flag glow when are hostile
  • New feature: selected unit's flag is brightened as if illuminated by vanilla's ray-of-light-vfx
  • Vanilla-Bugfix: district healthbars were displaying on top of the diplomatic screen
  • Vanilla-Bugfix: world-anchor for district-healthbars were not being unregistered potentially leaking memory
  • Vanilla-Bugfix: army commanders belonging to city-states were using the wrong flag-shape
  • Improvement: revised district-healthbar's positioning logic in order to diminish overlaps
  • Improvement: all elements have been slightly tweaked for better balance and visibility
  • Bugfix: some unit types were displaying wrong status-icons during attack animations
  • Bugfix: flags for independent-powers and city-states were incomplete and somewhat broken
  • Bugfix: flags were not appropriately moving downwards to avoid city-banners
  • Bugfix: healthbars were occasionally a little bit misaligned for some unit types
