Have a little fun with a "Complete this sentence" thread!

You feel so good when...

you get the Barbarian Uprising event, and your pop-up advisers tell you that we will bear the brunt of Attila the Hun's horse archers, three turns after you finished the Great Wall! Move along Attila; nothing to see here!

Peace,
Codver

You feel so good when your mined plains hill discovers a rich source of tin and then two turns later you research IW and pop iron in the same tile. It feels so good to get that type hammerage out of one tile. Let the production begin. :hammer:

...then you feel terrible when they win a Culture victory and you can't stop it.

Then an AI you have been wanting a war with surprise attacks your vassal and takes one of the 3 cities on the same turn.

^ When you turn around the only hint of pessimism in this thread :goodjob:

Also, when you build the Mids/HG when your GP bar is nearly full and then pop a GE with 1% odds.

When you just managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat via a space race/diplo win :D.

When you're playing as Shaka and Sal keeps trying to block you off on your corner of the continent. So, naturally, you crush his miserable civilization, and he capitulates to be your vassal with only one city left on a two-tile island near the South Pole. That'll teach you to mess with Shaka, Sal.

You figure out that the bum you're trying to rush off the map asap doesn't have metals.

When you manage to be the first to get the Oracle and Liberalism in the same game.

when you pop iron working from a hut (after having researched bronze working the turn before), discovering iron on a mined hill in your capitals bfc while your rome.
(yes this has happened to me, no i didnt win, i got excited and ruined my economy by rushing too fast :goodjob:)

You feel good when...

The weekend comes and you don't have to worry about work for a couple days... Wanna stay up till 4am playing civ? Don't mind if I do!

I second that :goodjob:

You're playing as Egypt/Rome/Greece and horses/iron/copper appear in the capital's fat cross. :goodjob:
Even better, when you're playing as rome and you have to settle in a crappy location to get iron, then one of your mines pops it. Here ya go barbs, have this crappy city, it has iron!
