So long as personal space is maintained. The eighty-seventh episode of PolyCast, "The More You Know" (Part 1), features regular co-hosts Daniel "DanQ" Quick, Stephanie "Makahlua", Philip "TheMeInTeam" Bellew and Lisa "qnl" Bang with first-time guest co-hosts Ian "frunobulax" Stonehouse and Gil "kossin". The summary of topics is as follows:

- 01m55s | Research Lab
Multiple technological advances at once, governments by drift and elevation and terrain features for the Civilization series.
- 20m49s | Vault (1 of 2)
An argument for earned traits.
- 27m54s | Miscellaneous
Looking for hidden hotkeys and tips in CivIV.
- 30m46s | Vault (2 of 2)
"You Feel So Good" in CivIV when, how to spot hogs in CivIV multiplayer, and deselecting waypoints.

- Intro/Outro | Miscellaneous
The case for Barbarian unit alliteration, and a singing solo from one panelist to another.

PolyCast is a bi-weekly audio production in an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on game strategy; sibling show ModCast focuses on Civ modding and RevCast focuses on Civilization: Revolution.

As always, enjoy.

Nice episode as usual. :goodjob:

Good to see that my immense contribution to that Vault segment was noted. :mischief:

And I gotta say, it's pretty unlucky timing with having to have a really early recording date. A Civ 5 themed episode would've been good. Perhaps Episode 88...?

On behalf of the panel and myself, thanks.

You contributed? ;)

Yes, timing is everything. The CivV announcement came less than a week after we recorded a next episode.

Perhaps Episode 88...?
:yup:

I just got to say TMIT your such a liar, Mr. "Oh I have to use Emancipation" and have "No tech trading" on. Your right not to trust him QNL. *hehe* I so knew Evan was going to have you do the singing, should have seen that one coming a mile away.

Very nice singing btw, and I also move that Dan be allowed to sing so long as he doesn't Rap.

I thought the topics were really interesting I think fluid abilities might be more interesting if it was done in a way of "dynasty" that one ruler take over after the other. To deal with that 6000 year old leader *heh* I wouldn't want my people choosing the traits for me but I wouldn't mind being allowed to change those traits through a successor mechanic.

I haven't had trouble with the Shift+Alt or Shift+Ctrl shortcuts myself, it doesn't seem to effect everyone, just a lot of people for some reason. I once had a stack of Swordsmen, Axe, and Cats and I would deselect units to stay behind. The only time that units aren't selected when using CTRL is when they are red, I always pick up the Yellow. (I don't mean health bar, I mean color of the little button.)

[qnl,] I so knew [Ian] was going to have you do the singing, should have seen that one coming a mile away.
:D

, I'm fine with that.

That's a suggestion I find worth further consideration.

My bad I heard the name so quickly I'm sorry I got Evan confused with Ian. *heh*

I think it would be cool to have a lineage of leaders that you can change out your traits by having the next gen follow a different or the same path that your on.
